Grange

Formerly a monastic grange belonging to Furness Abbey primarily concerned with sheep rearing, Grange is often referred to with the suffix ‘in Borrowdale’ to differentiate it from similarly named places elsewhere.  Now perhaps best known for the unusual double bridge over the River Derwent, Grange is a popular tourist destination in an idyllic setting within easy reach of Keswick

The Cumbria Way bypasses Grange, but walkers may choose to use the former route of The Cumbria Way to loop through the village and take advantage of the facilities
